Kensington Dollshouse Festival...Casas de muñecas

When we are children we like having a nice dollshouse to play with. This is something I wanted when I was younger but this dream was impossible because these houses were very expensive. Comic strips in newspapers...Viñetas de humor

As you know there is always a section in newspapers where you can find comic strips. Simon´s Cat is now appearing in the Daily Mirror: Simon is an English animator who lives with a charming cat. Have a look at the film above and I´m sure you have lived a similar situation -if you have a cat, of course!-.
Andy Capp is another character in the Daily Mirror who appeared first in 1957 from the pencils of Reg Smythe. Andy is lazy, he likes drinking and stealing money from his wife Flo. The characters of comic strips are always male or animals and there is only one woman, Nemi, a comic of Lise Myhre, who is Norwegian, and has recently been introduced into the English newspaper Metro. But in Spain we also have famous comic strips like Forges, Ramón o Peridis en El País, Idígoras y Pachi en El Mundo o Mingote MORE ▼

Las viñetas de humor son algo normal en los periódicos del mundo; en el Reino Unido destacan Simon´s Cat y Andy Capp, probablemente el cómic más machista en su corteza superficial que exista sobre la tierra, ya que los argumentos de la serie se basan en un gandul con todas las letras. (Capp en inglés es la gorra a cuadros que el protagonista lleva siempre calada hasta las orejas, pero también es un juego de palabras con Handicap, que entre otras acepciones tiene la de carrera de caballos, a la que el protagonista es tan aficionado y en las que se gasta el dinero que le sisa del monedero a su sufrida mujer). En España tenemos muy buenos ilustradores de viñetas como Forges, Mingote Peris o Idígoras y Pachi entre otros.
